DEMICON POST MORTEM DATE AND TIME CHANGED!
We will have a DemiCon 19 Post Mortem meeting on May 16, 2008 NOT MAY 9th. The May 9th DMSFS meeting will be a normal meeting. The Post Mortem will be held the following week (not a normal DMSFS meeting week) on May 16th at 7pm at the home of Jon & Tammy Mohning, 1320 - 17th St., West Des Moines.

We were going to hold this May 9th, but we're changing the date because we (ConCom 19) were reminded that the DMSFS club decided a while back NOT to have the annual Post Mortem on the first DMSFS meeting after DemiCon. We decided to sandwich the Post Mortem between the DMSFS meeting Fridays and have it on the third Friday in May.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US AT DEMICON 19 ON MAY 2-4, 2008

The dates for DemiCon 20 have been announced: May 1-3, 2009

We would like to remind everyone, that all items needing to be placed on the agenda should be emailed to the club president by no later than the Monday prior to the next meeting. Items received after that will be placed on the agenda for the following meeting (in 4 weeks). If you have a programming item you want to present, let the president know and that can be added as well.

DMSFS meets the second and fourth Fridays of each month at the West Des Moines Community Center 217 4th Street. It is 2 doors north of the Tavern Restaraunt in the Valley Junction district. There is a parking lot off of the 4th Street side of the building with plenty of room. The building is a 2 story sandstone building with burgundy awnings and trim.

Department Heads: Jeannette Roth (Art Show) with assistance from Nikki Harper, Andy Wheeler (Consuite-food), Al Hohrmann (Consuite-Booze), Les Roth (Database & Venue D), Wendy & Scott Arnburg (Dealers/DMSFS table), Mark Hagerman (Finance), Alan Guile (Gaming, Comuuter support at Con) with gaming assistance from Jason White, Rachelle Hrubetz (parties), Eric Coleman (Music), Bo3b Harper (Programming), Mandi Arthur (Fannish Film Festival), Megan Harper (Masquerade), Max Rauer, Jr. (Publications), Tammy Mohning (Registration), Greg Abba (Security & Tech Services), Bill Davis (Website) with assistance from Tammy Mohning, Nickie Reed (Youth Programming). Remember, the con cannot survive without the support of the club in volunteering. So volunteer early, volunteer often. The volunteer lists will start circulating at club meetings after the first of the year.
